Terms and Conditions
These Terms & Conditions apply to all bookings made with UK Silent Discos.
Definitions
- “Supplier” refers to UK Silent Discos
- “Customer” refers to the person named on the booking
Customer Requirements
- The customer must be aged 18 or over.
If you are unsure about any part of these Terms & Conditions, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Hire Fees
- Our minimum hire fee is equivalent to 10 UK Silent Discos Headphones
- All prices relate to a single-day hire with overnight use
Security Deposit
- A 50% security deposit is required
- Payable no later than 15 days before your event
- Returned within 24 hours of safe return and inspection of all items
Deductions may be made for:
- Lost or damaged items (charged at full replacement cost)
- Late returns
Any costs exceeding the deposit will be invoiced separately.
Payment Terms
- A 25% booking fee (or full balance) is required at the time of booking
- Booking fees are
- Remaining balance must be paid no later than 15 days before your event
For bookings made within 14 days:
- Full payment is required within 24 hours
We reserve the right to cancel bookings where:
- Payment is not received within the required timeframe
- Outstanding balances remain close to the event date
No equipment will be dispatched until full payment has been received.
Delivery
The customer (or a nominated person) must be present to accept delivery.
You are responsible for:
- Checking the condition of the delivery upon arrival
- Taking photos of any damage and notifying us immediately
- Signing for the delivery where required
If a nominated person accepts delivery, responsibility remains with the customer.
Hire Period and Responsibilities
During the hire period, the customer is responsible for:
- Supervision of equipment
- Safe and appropriate use
- Preventing loss or damage
The customer must not:
- Use equipment for anything other than its intended purpose
- Use equipment outdoors without prior written permission
- Sub-hire the equipment
The hire period ends once all items are returned, checked, and confirmed in good condition.
Returns
- Items must be packed in accordance with our return instructions
- Items must be returned via courier the day after your event
Failure to return items on time may result in:
- Additional hire charges
- Additional courier costs
Insurance
UK Silent Discos holds Public Liability Insurance, available on request.
Liability
UK Silent Discos accepts no liability for:
- Injury, loss, or damage during the hire period
- Use of equipment outside our control
This excludes cases of proven negligence by UK Silent Discos.
Customers are advised to ensure they have appropriate insurance where required.
Medical Conditions
We accept no liability for the worsening of any pre-existing medical condition through use of our equipment.
Loss or Damage to Equipment
The customer is responsible for all hired items.
Charges will apply for:
- Lost items
- Damaged items
- Items not returned in original condition
Where repair is not possible, items will be charged at full replacement cost, including any associated losses.
Damage to Property
UK Silent Discos is not responsible for damage to property or venues, except where caused by our negligence.
Cancellations
Please refer to our Cancellation & Refunds Policy.
Reserved Rights
We reserve the right to refuse or cancel a booking where we reasonably believe there is a risk of:
- Damage
- Theft
- Misuse
- Unlawful use
Any refunds in such cases will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Agreement
By placing a booking with UK Silent Discos, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms & Conditions and our Cancellation & Refunds Policy.
