Terms and Conditions
Below is UK Silent Discos Terms and Conditions.
Definitions
- 'Supplie'r refers to UK Silent Discos
- 'Customer' refers to the person named on the booking made up of a single day and overnight hire.
Customer
- The customer must be aged 18 or above.
If the customer is in any doubt as to the meaning of the following Terms and Conditions, a representative from UK Silent Discos should immediately be consulted.
Hire Fees
- Our minimum hire fee is the equivalent in cost to hiring our '10 x UK Silent Discos Headphones'.
- All prices shown on product pages relate to a single booking consisting of a single day and same day overnight hire.
Security Deposit
- A security deposit equivalent to 50% of your booking total, is added at checkout.
- The security deposit must be paid in full, no later than 15 days before your event date.
- The security deposit will be returned to the customer within 24 hours of the safe receipt of hired items, once it has been established there are no losses, damages or delays in returning your hired items.
- Deductions will be made from the security deposit for any lost or damaged items at full replacement cost.
- Any losses or damage costs that exceed the value of the security deposit, will be invoiced separately.
Payment
- A 25% booking fee, or the full balance, is payable at the time of booking.
- Booking fees are non-refundable.
- UK Silent Discos reserve the right to cancel any booking, if a booking fee is not paid within 24 hours of a booking being made.
- Any outstanding balance must be paid in full, no later than 15 days before your event date.
- UK Silent Discos reserves the right to cancel a booking if a remaining balance is outstanding within 14 days of your event date. Any amount previously paid, will not be refundable.
- Cancellations must be made as per our Cancellations and Refunds Policy.
- If a booking is made within 14 days of the event date, payment in full is required within 24 hours of receiving payment details via email from UK Silent Discos.
- UK Silent Discos reserves the right to cancel a booking made within 14 days of your event date if payment has not been made in full within 24 hours of the booking being made.
- All card transactions must have cleared in advance of your booking date.
- Hired items will not be shipped where there is an outstanding balance.
Delivery
UK Silent Discos requires the customer (or a person nominated by the customer) to be present at the delivery address, for the delivery time supplied by the courier.
- to inspect the condition of the delivery before accepting it.
- to take photos of any damage to the delivery and send them to us immediately.
- to sign for the delivery if required to do so by the courier, should you or your nominated person be happy to accept it.
Please note: The customer remains responsible for the delivery if accepted by a nominated person.
The Hire Period
During the hire period, the customer will be responsible for...
- the supervision of the hired items.
- the care and safety of the hired items.
During the hire period, the customer will not be permitted to...
- use, or allowing the hired items to be used for, any purpose other than its intended manufactured use.
- allow items to be used outdoors unless express written consent has been provided by UK Silent Discos in advance of the event date.
- sub-hire the hired items.
The hire period will only end once all items have been received and inspected by UK Silent Discos, and all hired items are deemed to be present and correct and in the same condition in which they were provided.
Returning Hired Items
- Items must be packaged for return shipment in accordance with the instructions shown on the following page... Packing your Silent Disco for Shipping.
- Items must be returned in accordance with the instructions shown on the following page... Returning your Silent Disco.
- Hired items are to be provided to the courier the day following the date of your event shown on your booking.
- Failure to return the hired items to the courier may result in an addition days hire of the items, plus the cost of the return shipping.
Public Liability Insurance
- UK Silent Discos carries Public Liability insurance, evidence of which is available on request.
Accidents / Injury / Loss
- UK Silent Discos will accept no liability for any accident, injuries sustained, or death, howsoever caused, in the absence of negligence by UK Silent Discos.
- As the hired items will be in the possession and control of the customer whilst in use, any liability for injuries or other losses caused remains with the customer. It is recommended that the customer has adequate public liability insurance covering their liabilities.
Medical Conditions
- UK Silent Discos can accept no liability for any pre-existing medical condition being made worse through the use of UK Silent Discos hired items.
Loss or Damage to UK Silent Discoss' Property
- The customer will be billed accordingly for any damage or loss of items hired from UK Silent Discos.
- All items must be returned in the same clean and damage free condition in which they were hired.
- All damaged or missing items will be billed at the full replacement cost where a repair is not economical or possible, along with any associated costs including, but not limited to, courier services and loss of business while the items are unavailable for hire by other customers.
Damage to Customers Property or Venue
- UK Silent Discos will not be held responsible for damage to your property or venue as a result of hiring any of our items in the absence of negligence by UK Silent Discos.
Cancellation by the Customer
By placing a booking with UK Silent Discos, you are confirming you have read and agree to our Terms and Conditions and our Cancellations and Refunds Policy.
Reserved Rights
UK Silent Discos reserves the right to not provide any hired items should we believe there is a risk of damage / theft / misuse or unlawful use of our items. Refunds will be at the discretion of UK Silent Discos.
